An Introduction to the Topic of Sexual Predators

After catching a presentation by Dr. Duane Dobbert at another conference a few years back, Bill Paul, the founder of School Transportation News, invited him to speak at the 2007 STN EXPO. Here is a video clip of Duane's keynote address at the conference.

  1. The guy is about selling his program. Stranger danger is a big myth. As I have read a child being attached by an registered ex-sex offender it more likely for the child to die from a slip in the bath tub. Put things into perspective. Should we register all bathtubs? Less the 10% of sex offenders have child related offenses, fact! Of those offenders after their mandated jail time, therapy, probation and requirement to register they are the lowest in re-offense from any other group, again truth. There are over 674,000 registered sex offenders and growing. It's more likely uncle bill or aunt sally you have to be concerned with. Those non-sex offenders, the ones that aren't informed just how easy it is to become a sex offender that make up most offenses. Don't worry people, someone you know will soon be in the system keeping it alive!
